Columbia Valley, Invermere, BC

Overlooking the cliffs into the Columbia Valley wetlands is always so pretty to see. So many birds and wildlife. You can see eagles flying around, hear swans honking or get a look at a belted king fisher zooming by… I am always surprised and amazed at the beautiful animals that live in the valley including the big horn sheep and a peacock named Percy that struts around Radium.

Percy the town Peacock hanging in Radium… I was walking to the grocery store and there he was sparkling in the sun. He loves to show off! His feathers shine so bright. He lives in an abandoned trailer in town and residents and neighbours leave birdseed and hay for him to nest. He’s been here in Radium for about 12 years or so according to locals.
